- 10 stitches (single crochet) and 10 rows = 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm) square using a 12 mm (O-16) hook.

- Rows 3 - 24 - Repeat row 2.
- Rows 25 - 26, 1 strand blue and 1 strand white - Repeat row 2.
- Rows 29 - 30, 2 strands white - Repeat row 2.
- Rows 31 - 39 - 1 strand blue and 1 strand white - Repeat row 2.
- Rows 40 - 49, 2 strands white - Repeat row 2.
