Button Strap Holder
Foundation, col E, 3.5mm hk - ch7
Rnd 1 - 1hdc in 2nd ch from hk, 1hdc in next 5-sts, turn, [6hdc]
Rnd 2-20 - ch1 (not a st), 1sc in each st to end, turn. [6hdc]
Before making the buttonhole check the length of the strap it should be about 11 inches (28cm) long. It should wrap around the stacked coasters with and overlap. If you need to add a few more rows do so.
Rnd 21 - sc2tog, ch4, sk 2-sts, sc2tog, do not turn, make 40 sc-sts, down the side, 1sc along the 6-sts on the short edge, then make 40 sc-sts along the remaining side, ch1, cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends
Finish strap

Place the strap right side down, the place the coasters on top, wrap the strap around the coasters with the buttonhole loop on top, use a pin to mark the position of the button on the other end of the strap, sew button into place. Wrap around the coasters and your set is done.
