Crochet Stitches
This cell phone bag pattern uses basic crochet stitches of chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet as well as Front post single crochet and reverse single crochet.
Reverse Single Crochet (RSC)

We selected 100% cotton yarn with approximately 15 WPI, placing it in the #3 Light category (DK, light worsted, 8-ply).
While the recommended hook size for this yarn is 4mm, we opted for a 3.5mm hook to achieve the desired texture for this pattern.

Strap
Options - you can either make a wrist strap or a crossbody strap for this pouch:
Wrist strap, color C – ch50, 1sc in 2nd ch from hk, 1sc in next st, 1sc in the next 48-sts, rotate the piece to work on the other side of the ch, sl st in each st to the end, cut yarn, leave a long tail for sewing and fasten off.
Crossbody strap, color C – start with a long yarn tail (use this for sewing later), crochet as many chains as needed to get your desired length, then 1sc in 2nd ch from hk, 1sc in each st to the end, rotate the piece to work on the other side of the ch, sl st in each st to the end, cut yarn, leave a long tail for sewing and fasten off.
Finishing
