This straightforward design uses Front Post Double Crochet (FPdc) stitches and Half Double Crochet (Hdc) stitches that cross over the FPdc.
The pattern features a simple four-row repeat, resulting in a light, open-textured fabric that is perfect for many projects, including blankets, scarves, shawls, cardigans, and more.

The crochet stitches in this pattern are single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitches.
The fabric has a textured look that is created by repeating two rows, one a row of double crochet stitches, then a row with a stitch combination of a front post double crochet stitch (fpdc) and half double crochet stitch (hdc) which cross over the fpdc, between two rows of single crochet (sc).
