What Kind Of Yarn To Use
You can use any yarn and weight to make this mummy candy bag.
For the bag you see here, we used #3 light (light worsted, DK, 8py) 100% acrylic yarn.
This yarn weight gave us a smaller bag perfect for a toddler or preschooler.
You can increase the size of this bag by increasing the number of stitches in the foundation chain and evenly increasing the number of rounds in each color section.
Or you could use a heavier yarn weight like a #4 worsted such as Red Heart Super saver, which will work up into a slightly larger bag.
For an even larger bag, you could use chunky yarn, like Bernat Softee chunky, or crochet with two strands of #3 light or #4 worsted yarns.
If you use a heavier yarn weight, you will require more yarn and will need to use a larger crochet hook.
About The Eyes
We added our simple crochet eyes pattern for this bag, and have included the instructions in the printable pattern below.
